Iguazu Falls – Argentinian side
While the Brazilian side offers a panoramic view of the whole waterfall system, the Argentine side (where 90% of the falls are actually located) allows visitors to walk among them and get up really close to the cascading water.
Different circuits can be undertaken, the Upper Circuit (about 1.7km) with its panoramic views; the Lower Circuit (about 2.5km) that gets you really close with views of the lower part of the falls: and finally, at the end of the circuit, the Devil’s Throat (Garganta del Diablo) a quite dramatic viewpoint, which gives you a nice soaking as you get up close and personal; it is accessible by train and a walkway extending over the river.
Two countries, two experiences, same falls. In our opinion it is definitely worth doing both. In our humble view, this must truly be one of the great wonders of the natural world.
